INTRODUCTION TO COMPUTERS AND THE INTERNET BASICS II

Saturday, February 13, from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM

During this class students will build on the knowledge acquired in the Basics I class.  Students will learn basic computer terminology, virus protection, downloading from the internet, different computer tools & toys, and how to play music or movies on the computer.

 

INTERNET USAGE

Monday, February 15, from 6:30 to 8:00 PM

Learn tips and tricks to browsing and searching the World Wide Web.  Use popular search engines such as Google and Yahoo to search and find information on the internet; includes many tips and tricks.

During this class, students will cover the very basics of computer usage. We will discuss how to turn on a computer, how to reset the computer, where to plug in the mouse, keyboard and speakers.  Also students will learn keyboard basics, task manager and mouse basics. 

 

MICROSOFT WORD FOR BEGINNING USERS

Monday, March 15, from 6:30 to 8:00 PM

This course is an introduction to basic word processing.  Covered will be terminology and skills, including text creation, formatting, printing and saving.

In this course you will learn how to add tables, headers and footers, insert symbols, and other commands to enhance a document. 

 

DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHY

Monday, April 26, from 6:30 to 8:00 PM

Learn the basics of digital photography, plus some tricks of the trade to get the most out of your camera.  Students are urged to bring their digital cameras.
