Wayne Metro Community Action Agency Free Weatherization Information
FREE WEATHERIZATION
Weatherization involves the installation of measures designed to make your home more energy-efficient. The program is free to income-eligible homeowners and renters.
- Weatherize your home to be warmer in the winter.
- Weatherize your home to be cooler in the summer.
- Weatherize your home to lower your gas and electric bills.
An energy audit will determine which measures your home is eligible for and may include:
- Wall Insulation
- Attic Insulation and/or Ventilation
- Floor/Foundation Insulation
- Air Sealing Measures for Doors, Windows, and Accesses
- Furnace Tune-Up or Replacement
- Refrigerator Replacement
- Other Energy-Saving Measures such as Lightbulbs, Dryer Vents, Etc.
