In the aftermath of storms, DTE Energy leaves brush and wood at customer properties so that tree trimmers can move quickly to restore customers in other areas. This practice is consistent among utilities nationwide. When bad weather strikes, our priority is protecting the public and restoring power.

Customers concerned about debris left in their yards can contact private tree or refuse removal services. Friendly neighbors, municipal public works departments or charitable organizations may also be able to help with clean up.
